मुर्ख कोआ की कहानी

Palampur village is a beautiful and peaceful village situated in the lush green valleys of Himachal Pradesh. The people living in this village under the shade of the mountains are known for their simplicity and hard work. There was also a small community of Mukh Koa here, which was famous for its unique story.

Mukh Koa means “chief crow”. This story has been told by the village elders for generations. It is believed that this story gives an important message to the village, which keeps the people united and honest even today.

It was many years ago, when Palampur village was not so organized and prosperous. The village people were struggling with their small problems. At that time, there were big trees all around the village, on which birds used to nest. Among those trees was a huge banyan tree, which was situated right in the middle of the village. A flock of crows lived on that tree.

This flock of crows kept an eye on the activities of every person in the village. One of these crows was the leader of the flock, who was called Mukh Koa. Mukh Koa was very sensible, just and intelligent. He would go around the village every morning and ensure that people were doing their work properly.

Once, incidents of grain theft started happening in the village. The village people got worried. Every day someone’s grain would go missing. People could not understand who was doing this. Mutual disputes and suspicions started increasing in the village.

The village head gathered everyone and tried to find a solution to this problem. But no result could be achieved. Then someone suggested that help be sought from Mukh Koa. The people of the village agreed to this suggestion, because Mukh Koa was considered the true guardian of the village.

Next morning Mukh Koa was called. Mukh Koa came down from the crow flock and sat on the lowest branch of the banyan tree. The villagers told their problems. Mukh Koa listened carefully to everyone and then made a plan with his cleverness.

He said, “I will stay awake the whole night to find out who the thief is. But for this I need the cooperation of the villagers. No one will lie and will remain united when the truth comes out.”

Mukh Koa guarded the village at night. He saw that a man from the village, Ramlal, was stealing grains every night and taking them to his home. Next morning Mukh Koa gathered the entire village and said in his hoarse voice, “Whoever is the thief, he should confess himself, otherwise I will have to tell his name.”

Ramlal got scared and admitted his mistake. He said that his financial condition was bad, so he committed theft. The villagers got angry at Ramlal, but Mukh Koa explained to them that this problem would have to be solved together. The villagers decide that they will help Ramlal, so that he does not do this again.

After this incident Mukh Koa became an integral part of the village. Every time there was a problem in the village, Mukh Koa would help solve it. This story of Mukh Koa became a symbol of honesty, cooperation and unity in the village.

Even today, when any difficulty arises in Palampur village, people remember the story of Mukh Koa and come together to solve the problem. Mukh Koa’s herd is no longer there, but his story and his message continue to teach every generation the importance of unity and truth.
