Republic Day Speech 2025
Good morning, friends,
On this auspicious occasion of January 26, I am here to deliver a heartfelt speech about Republic Day. First of all, I warmly welcome our honorable chief guest, respected teachers, and my dear fellow citizens. I wish you all a very Happy 76th Republic Day!
As we all know, every year on January 26, we celebrate Republic Day in our country. It is one of our national festivals and holds great significance in Indian history. This day provides us with an opportunity to remember all the great freedom fighters and patriots who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our nation.
Friends, on August 15, 1947, our country gained freedom from British rule. However, even after independence, we did not have our own Constitution. To provide a strong and systematic governance structure, a Constituent Assembly was formed. The responsibility for drafting the Constitution was entrusted to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and his committee. Dr. Ambedkar is regarded as the father of our Constitution.
It took 2 years, 11 months, and 18 days to draft the Constitution. Finally, on January 26, 1950, the Constitution was implemented, and from that day, we have celebrated Republic Day every year. This day symbolizes the establishment of democracy and the rights of citizens in India.

India’s Constitution is the largest written Constitution in the world. It provides every citizen with the rights of equality, freedom, and justice. Our Constitution not only grants rights to citizens but also emphasizes their duties. It teaches us to respect the rights of others while exercising our own.
On this Republic Day, we bow to all the great leaders who gifted us with this independence and democracy. It is our responsibility to ensure that their sacrifices are not in vain. We must commit to preserving the unity, integrity, and sovereignty of our nation.
Friends, while our country is progressing in many fields today, we still face several challenges. Problems like poverty, illiteracy, corruption, and social inequality persist. To overcome these issues, we must work together with dedication.
Republic Day reminds us that all Indians are members of one family. We must unite to build a better nation. We need to create a future where every individual can live a safe, educated, and prosperous life.
So, on this sacred occasion, let us pledge to work wholeheartedly to resolve the issues our nation faces. Let us honor our country’s culture, heritage, and democratic values. We must ensure that India reclaims its position as the “Vishwaguru” (world leader).
In conclusion, I urge everyone to understand the importance of Republic Day and embrace the values it represents. This would be the true tribute to our great freedom fighters.
Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
Thank you.
