CID Season 2
Today, I am going to explain the fifth episode of CID, titled “Murder of the Island.” In this episode, three murders occur on an isolated island. The CID team’s investigation and how they uncover the truth form the core of this suspenseful episode.
Story Begins
The episode starts with a delivery boy heading to the island to deliver some items. Upon reaching, he knocks on the door and calls out, “Biren Sir, Biren Sir!” but receives no response. Finding the door open, he steps inside with his colleague. What they discover is horrifying—three charred bodies. Terrified, they immediately contact CID.
CID Investigates
The CID team arrives at the crime scene but finds no significant evidence apart from a dead mobile phone. The bodies are sent to the forensic lab, where Dr. Salunkhe reveals a shocking detail: these bodies weren’t burned with fire or matches but with a rare chemical, not easily accessible.
The team investigates further and checks the CCTV footage from outside the island. The footage shows a woman entering the location but never coming out.
The Search for the Woman
The woman is identified as Nikki, the best friend of the three victims. CID locates one of Nikki’s friends, who reveals that Nikki was very close to Biren at a recent party. This had made her friend jealous, but he denies any involvement in the murders.
Through the investigation, the team uncovers a connection to a boy named Rahul, who was bullied by the three victims during college. The harassment led to Rahul’s supposed suicide.
Rahul’s Backstory
CID visits Rahul’s father, who insists that Rahul didn’t commit suicide but was murdered. He describes Rahul as a genius who was targeted by the trio. Inspector Abhijeet assures him that CID will uncover the truth and bring justice to Rahul.
In their search, CID discovers that Rahul had a girlfriend, who also happened to be Nikki’s best friend. When questioned, she denies involvement in the murders.
The Secret Tunnel
While investigating the island, Daya and Pankaj discover a secret tunnel that leads to the sea. Pankaj explores the tunnel and uncovers evidence linking the crime to a boat rented by a woman.
Rahul’s Girlfriend Confesses
Eventually, CID corners Rahul’s girlfriend, and she confesses to the murders. She explains that Rahul had a brilliant business idea that Nikki stole and shared with Biren and his friends. They profited immensely from it, leaving Rahul and her behind. Filled with rage and betrayal, she decided to take revenge and killed them all.
Episode Conclusion
CID arrests her, and ACP Pradyuman advises her that while Rahul’s pain was valid, her actions were unjustifiable. He remarks that genius or not, no one has the right to take the law into their own hands.
The episode ends with the team reflecting on the tragic consequences of greed and vengeance.
