The Curse of the Ghostly Gangsters
This story dates back to the 1980s when a series of mysterious deaths shook Indonesia. Ruthless gangsters, infamous for their blood-drinking rituals, were found dead under eerie circumstances. Among them was their leader, Jarak, who possessed an immortal body. On a fateful night in 1984, a village elder named Danang gathered his men to put an end to the terror.
Despite shooting multiple bullets, Jarak would not die. His gang was soon eliminated, but the immortal Jarak had to be dealt with using a magical vessel. Danang severed Jarak’s head and sealed it, but not before Jarak cursed the village with a deadly spell. Over time, the villagers began to forget the horrors of that night.

10 Years Later
The story shifts forward a decade. Jiah, the granddaughter of Danang and the biological daughter of Jarak, returns to the village for her mother’s funeral, unaware of her dark lineage. Raised in the city, Jiah is oblivious to the cursed legacy of her family.
As soon as Jiah sets foot in the village, strange occurrences begin. Thunderstorms rage, and Danang becomes furious, demanding that she leave immediately for her safety. “This village is not safe for you,” he warns repeatedly. However, Jiah refuses, determined to care for her aging grandfather.
A Village on Edge
The village chief gathers everyone and announces ominously, “Jarak’s daughter has returned. Do not leave your homes at night, no matter what. Do not open your doors, even if someone knocks. Protect your children.” Fear grips the village as the chief warns of the curse, saying, “If anyone looks into the ghost’s eyes, they will lose their life.”
Meanwhile, Jiah is packing her late mother’s belongings, while Danang offers to escort her out of the village himself. But their car’s tires are mysteriously punctured, leaving them stranded. The villagers, too frightened to help, stay locked inside their homes.

The Haunting Begins
Jiah’s boyfriend, Dika, waits near the car, flipping through a book when lightning flashes, revealing ghostly figures in the distance. He tries to approach them but soon realizes they are not human. The village guard sees them too, and one of the guards is dragged away, his blood-curdling scream echoing through the village.
In another house, a woman hides her child in a cupboard to protect her from the ghosts. But the spirits relentlessly pursue her, choking her to death as her terrified daughter watches helplessly. Meanwhile, the possessed village guard repeatedly bangs his head against a wooden pole.
The Fight for Survival
Back at the car, Dika describes to Jiah how he saw ghosts carrying a coffin, but she dismisses his claims. Their argument is interrupted when a severed hand falls in front of them. Inside the house, Danang watches the chaos through the window and fires a gun at one of the ghosts, saving Jiah and Dika momentarily.
Danang’s frustration boils over as he screams at Jiah, “You should never have come to this village! You’ve endangered everyone’s lives. We must leave tonight, no matter what!”
As the cursed night unfolds, the villagers must confront their worst fears, while Jiah slowly uncovers the horrifying truth about her lineage and the curse that threatens to consume them all.

Jiah Confronts Danang
Frightened and confused, Jiah demands answers from Danang, but he refuses to reveal anything. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Dika hears the sound of coffins being carried again. Sensing danger, Danang pulls out a magical mirror that can reveal the presence of ghosts. As they cautiously move forward, a ghost suddenly grabs Dika.
Danang uses the mirror to pinpoint the ghost’s location and manages to rescue Dika. Together, Dika and Jiah run through the darkness, but Jiah is reluctant to leave Danang behind. Dika insists, “These ghosts are too powerful; we can’t face them. If we go back, we’ll die.”
A Desperate Escape
Jiah recalls that Maeli’s house has a phone and suggests calling the police for help. However, when they arrive, the house is drenched in blood. Suddenly, they hear Maeli crying from inside a cupboard. Jiah opens it to find Maeli trembling and clutching her tightly. Through her sobs, Maeli reveals that her mother was killed by the ghosts.
Realizing the village is no longer safe, the three decide to flee. They spot a moving car in the distance, giving them a glimmer of hope. Dika runs toward it, but to their horror, the car transforms into a group of ghosts carrying a coffin. The ghosts lift Dika into the air and slam him to the ground, injuring his leg. Jiah and Maeli try to support him as they escape, but the ghosts attack again. This time, they rip out Dika’s heart, killing him instantly. Jiah faints from the shock.

Danang’s Plan
Meanwhile, Danang reaches the village chief’s house and requests a talisman and weapons for his plan. He explains that only Jiah can end Jarak’s curse. Killing Jarak once and for all would free the village from the ghosts. The chief reluctantly agrees but warns Danang to keep his windows and doors locked.
Yanto’s Betrayal
In another twist, a man named Yanto kidnaps Jiah and hides Maeli in a corner. Yanto reveals that he has been waiting for Jiah for years. He removes a talisman from her neck—a talisman Danang had crafted using Jarak’s teeth to protect her.
Yanto reveals the truth to Jiah: her real father is Jarak. He explains how Danang killed Jarak years ago by severing his head to ensure he could never resurrect. Jarak wasn’t just any man; he was a practitioner of dark magic and a blood-drinking monster. Bullets couldn’t kill him, but his death triggered a curse that bound the village.
The Curse Resurfaces
Jiah’s arrival in the village awakened the cursed souls of Jarak’s minions, buried for over a decade. Now, anyone who looks into their eyes is doomed to die. As Yanto unveils the horrifying truth, the ghosts grow stronger and more aggressive.

A Divided Village
Back in the chief’s home, his wife berates him for giving Danang the talisman. She fears that without it, the ghosts will destroy them all. The chief, too, harbors guilt—he was part of the group that killed Jarak’s gang years ago.
Suddenly, there’s a knock at the door. The air grows tense as the ghosts inch closer, and the villagers must confront their darkest fears to survive the night.
The Chief’s Tragic End
The village chief wonders if Danang might have forgotten something and cautiously opens the door, only to find no one there. Moments later, his wife sees the ghosts carrying coffins and is suddenly lifted into the air by an unseen force. The chief grabs his gun and tries to save her, but it’s too late—his wife dies instantly. The ghosts then turn on the chief, brutally cutting his body in half.
Yanto Reveals the Truth
Elsewhere, Yanto tells Jiah that Danang plans to resurrect Jarak tonight using a knife tainted with Jiah’s blood. Jiah refuses to believe her grandfather would do such a thing. Furious, Yanto declares, “Your grandfather is a traitor! He made a talisman from Jarak’s teeth and kept everything for himself. He even blinded himself to avoid seeing the coffin-carrying ghosts.” Yanto insists that Danang intends to sacrifice Jiah to take revenge on Jarak.

The Fight Between Danang and Yanto
Danang arrives and confronts Yanto, leading to a dangerous fight. Just as Danang is about to kill Yanto, Jiah stops him, saving Yanto’s life. Danang takes Jiah with him, along with the talisman, as Maeli secretly watches everything unfold.
Danang’s Dark Ritual
Danang and Jiah arrive at his mansion, where a heated argument ensues. Danang tries to convince Jiah that everything he’s done has been for her protection. He then descends into a hidden basement and retrieves a suspended box containing Jarak’s headless body. Opening another small box, he reveals Jarak’s severed head. Danang joins the head to the body and places the talisman in Jarak’s mouth. Finally, he picks up the blood-soaked knife to pierce Jarak’s heart.
Jarak’s Resurrection
Before Danang can proceed, Yanto appears, ready to attack him. At that moment, Jarak’s soul re-enters his body, and he fully comes back to life. Yanto immediately falls to Jarak’s feet, begging for forgiveness. Ignoring him, Jarak drains Yanto’s blood completely. He then attacks Danang, stabbing his leg with the knife. As Danang writhes in pain, he regrets marrying his daughter to Jarak.
Jiah enters the room, and Jarak, seeing his daughter, is overcome with joy. Embracing her, he says, “Now we are together. No one can separate us.” But Danang shouts, “He’s not your father anymore! He’s become a demon!”

Jiah’s Sacrifice
Jiah pleads with Jarak to spare Danang, but Jarak, consumed by rage, ignores her. Just as he’s about to kill Danang, Jiah grabs the blood-soaked knife from the floor, cuts her own hand, and plunges it into Jarak’s heart. Jarak is stunned, unable to believe his daughter betrayed him. The dark powers within him dissipate, and he dies for good.
The Final Twist
As Jiah helps an injured Danang out of the room, Maeli storms in with a gun. Her face red with fury, she screams, “Because of you, my mother is dead, the entire village is destroyed, and now you must die too!” With his last ounce of strength, Danang hurls a sharp wooden plank at Maeli, killing her instantly. But the effort costs him his life—Danang takes his final breath.
The room is soaked in blood. Gravely injured, Jiah struggles to stand. Her eyes fall on the knife she used to kill Jarak. Picking it up, she does the unthinkable—she licks the blood of her father off the blade. Suddenly, her eyes glow a bright yellow. Jiah is no longer human; she has become an immortal demon.

A New Mystery
As the story appears to conclude, a mysterious group of people enters the room. They silently take Jarak’s body and leave. What were their intentions? Were they planning to resurrect Jarak once again? These secrets remain hidden, leaving the tale open for more horrors to unfold.
