Moana 2: A Brilliant Review
Disney’s much-awaited animated movie Moana 2 has finally been released in theaters and is receiving immense love from the audience. Especially with the ongoing ₹99 Cinema Day, theaters are running houseful. Kids, families, and animation lovers are thoroughly enjoying the movie. I also watched this film in Hindi, in 3D format, and here’s my review for you.
First of all, my name is Yogi, and we’ll be meeting frequently. Let’s talk about how Moana 2 fares and whether it lives up to the expectations set by its predecessor.

Why is Watching the First Part Important?
If you haven’t watched the first part of Moana, I suggest you watch it first. This is because understanding the storyline and character connections in this sequel requires some background knowledge. The first part beautifully showcased Moana’s journey and struggles, which lay the foundation for this film.
Storyline and New Twists
In Moana 2, our heroine faces new challenges. She embarks on a quest to find a new tribe and unite its people. Along this journey, she is accompanied by some old and new friends, including the very important character of Maui. Moana’s journey is not easy, and she encounters many difficulties along the way.
During the film, not only do we witness Moana’s bravery, but her little sister’s adorable character also grabs our attention. This little sister is so cute that you feel like grabbing her cheeks and saying, “Gulu-Gulu!”
Highlights of the Film
1. A Brilliant Blend of Musical Fantasy
Moana 2 is a musical fantasy film with several songs, through which the story progresses. However, in my opinion, the songs from the first part were more memorable and impactful compared to this one.

2. Exceptional Animation
Disney always excels in animation, and Moana 2 is no exception. The visuals in the movie are so stunning that they transport you into that magical world. The water, forests, and characters’ emotions are so vivid that everything feels real.
3. Emotional Connection and Humor
The first half of the movie might feel a little slow, but the second half makes up for it. The emotional connection in the movie is strong, and it keeps the audience engaged. Maui’s jokes are also well-timed and will make you laugh.

Experience with Hindi Dubbing
Talking about the Hindi dubbing, this time the character of Maui hasn’t been voiced by Sharad Kelkar. In the first part, his voice brilliantly brought the character to life. However, the dubbing this time feels slightly weaker. This decision feels a bit off, especially when Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) has voiced Maui in the original language in both parts.
The Special Mid-Credit Scene
After the movie ends, don’t make the mistake of leaving the theater immediately. Moana 2 includes a mid-credit scene, hinting at a possible third part. If you’re a fan of Disney’s fantasy world, you won’t want to miss this scene.

Why Is It a Family-Friendly Film?
Moana 2 is a completely family-friendly movie. Kids, adults, and everyone in between will enjoy this film. Its story beautifully blends themes of friendship, family, courage, and hope. The characters are so lovable and lively that you’ll find yourself connecting with them.
My Experience and Rating
Overall, Moana 2 is a good animated movie. Though a few aspects like the Hindi dubbing and the slow pace of the first half might feel a little underwhelming, the film is still worth watching because of its amazing animation, emotional connection, and engaging storyline.
I would rate this movie 3.5/5 stars. If you enjoy animated films, don’t miss watching this one in theaters.
In the End…
So friends, Moana 2 is an excellent family entertainer, perfect for watching with your family and friends. If you’ve already watched it, do share your thoughts with us.
