Good morning, everyone! My name is Varun. Today is our 76th Republic Day. It is a very special day that fills us with pride and happiness. I am honored to give a speech on this special day. First of all, I wish you all a very Happy Republic Day. India gained independence from British rule on August 15, 1947, but that did not mean we were completely free. It took a few more years for our country to transition from a sovereign state to a democratic one. On January 26, 1950, India’s Constitution came into effect, and we began celebrating this day as Republic Day every year.
This historic day marks the beginning of India as a democratic republic. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar helped write India’s Constitution, and we thank him for his great contribution in shaping India’s future.

Republic Day is a day that symbolizes the freedom, equality, and justice that we enjoy in a democratic country like India. We, the people, are the real decision-makers. But to keep our democracy strong, we must actively participate, respect different opinions, and stay united despite our differences. We have all heard stories about our brave freedom fighters. Let us learn from their courage and dedication to strengthen our country. So, on this Republic Day, let us promise to be good citizens. Let us celebrate our diversity and work together to build a brighter future for India.Once again, Happy Republic Day to you all!
