CID Season 2, Episode 2 Storyline
The story begins on a flight where Inspector Abhijeet is traveling. A flight attendant offers him a meal, but Abhijeet declines, saying food should not be wasted. Suddenly, he receives a message instructing him to go to a specific seat (1208). When he gets there, he finds a lifeless body.
The body appears strange — no wounds, no blood, but the skin is bluish. Abhijeet discreetly informs ACP Pradyuman and Dr. Salunkhe from the bathroom. Dr. Salunkhe asks him to examine the body further and deduces that the person died due to poisoning.
The Hijacking and Identifying the Culprit
The flight has been hijacked. The hijacker demands a person associated with a specific number to be found. Meanwhile, Daya and new officer Avni investigate and discover that the person (Hiten) is already dead. They now look for the person who currently holds that number, Girish.
Girish is tracked, but while trying to escape, he is shot dead by a drone. It is later revealed that Girish was a hacker.
Suspects on the Flight
Three main suspects are identified onboard:
- Aniruddh (a drug addict)
- Naresh (a businessman)
- Monty (a banker)
During the investigation, the flight attendant is also killed, and Abhijeet finds syringes and signs of poisoning.
The Hijacker’s Demands
The hijacker demands a crucial file. Daya rushes to deliver it but does not have enough time to verify its contents. Later, it is revealed that a password is required to access the file. The hijacker retrieves the password and attempts to kill the CID team and the airline’s CEO using a bomb.
Daya throws the bomb out of the building, saving everyone.
The Real Mastermind Revealed
The investigation reveals that the flight hijacking and murders were orchestrated by the airline’s manager. He wanted to kill his boss, Vikram (the airline’s CEO), because Vikram neglected necessary maintenance of outdated and unsafe planes, leading to multiple accidents.
The manager also killed Hiten, who was trying to expose these wrongdoings.
Conclusion
The CID team arrests the manager and his accomplice. Vikram is also put under investigation for his negligence. Abhijeet assures passengers of a safe landing. The episode ends on a humorous note as ACP Pradyuman jokes about the Ministry official resembling DCP Chitrole in behavior.
