Ranveer Allahbadia Is Not Cooperating With The Police Investigation Claims Reports
Comedian Ranbir Alabad, who is embroiled in controversy over his obscene jokes on India’s Got Talent, had requested Mumbai Police to record his statement at his home. However, Mumbai Police has rejected this request and ordered him to appear at the police station. Ranbir had previously been summoned but neither responded to the notice nor showed any willingness to cooperate with the authorities.
Mumbai Police has now sent a second summons to Ranbir, but he is still trying to evade questioning. According to police sources, Ranbir has not stepped out of his house and is continuously avoiding giving his statement. The police have made it clear that the law is the same for everyone, and Ranbir must appear at the police station for questioning.
This case does not involve only Ranbir Alabad; comedian Samay Raina has also been summoned. Samay Raina’s lawyer informed the cyber cell that he is currently in the United States and will return to India on March 17. However, the police have stated that this is a serious matter, and he must appear as soon as possible.
Apart from Ranbir and Samay Raina, several other guests who participated in this controversial show have also been booked. The National Commission for Women (NCW) has sent notices to Ranbir, Samay, and other artists, summoning them to appear at the NCW office on February 17.
Several individuals have already been questioned in this case. Statements of Apoorva Makheja and Ashish Azlan have been recorded. Additionally, Raghu, a former judge of Roadies, has also been questioned by the cyber cell, as he appeared on the show as a judge. The police are systematically bringing all those involved under investigation and taking the matter very seriously.
Mumbai Police has stated that all artists, judges, and guests associated with the show will be investigated. Given Ranbir and Samay’s reluctance to cooperate, the police are now planning to take a stricter approach. More prominent names may emerge in the coming days as authorities delve deeper into the case.
