The next day the three leave the cabin and discover a bunker. Food and maps are found in the bunker, indicating that they are in Poland. Gradually, they share each other’s stories. Samantha explains that her father, Hands, was a German soldier. Jody tells that she got involved in crimes like robbery by falling into bad company.

Jody finds the same picture in Samantha’s locket, which she also has. Samantha’s mother is in the picture. It turns out that Samantha is Jody’s mother and that Jody is still pregnant with her. Meanwhile, Tom’s past reveals that his mother was convicted of murder at a gas station.

Samantha’s father Hands, a German soldier, encounters the trio. Samantha explains that if Hands died, everything would change. Tom and Samantha try to save him. However, Jody dies in the process, causing Tom to disappear as well.

Samantha and Hands eventually escape safely. Due to his savings the entire timeline changes. In 1985, Jody emerges as an educated and civilized girl. The events at the gas station are repeated, but this time Jody has no criminal record. Samantha and Jody live a peaceful life. Tom enjoys a happy childhood and his mother’s love. The story ends with how time and family are interconnected and how small decisions can make big changes.
