Malayalam movie Marco movie Real story in cinema hall review

Saw a movie named “Marco”, which was shown in Nagpur only in one show, that too in Malayalam language. I watched it with subtitles, and now I want to talk about it.This is a story of revenge, but the extent to which this revenge has been shown to be brutal is something I have never seen before. This film takes the definition of brutality to a new level in Indian cinema.

First Half: The movie is approximately 2.75 hours long. The first half felt quite cold and slow. The theater was housefull, but there was no cheering or applause. The story was building slowly, but there was nothing special. Although, brutality was definitely seen in one or two scenes, but you will not feel anything special in the first half.

After interval: After the interval block the real game begins. The limits of bloodshed and violence are crossed. Hands are being cut, legs are being cut, there is blood everywhere. If you’re into R-rated fun, this movie is a visual treat for you. But the question is, how did the censor board pass all this? And how did children get entry into theatre? There were about 10-12 children in my theater who should not have seen all this.

Brutality: In the second half, brutality has been shown even on innocent children, which was heart-wrenching. The film focuses only on revenge and action. There are almost no songs in the story, and the buildup to the characters is also weak. The storyline is very simple—”I’ll kill you, you kill me.” That is all.

Technical Aspects: The camera work is amazing, especially the corridor scene and the staircase scene. These scenes look so natural that you will feel that everything is happening in reality. But brutality has been shown so many times that weak hearted people will not be able to bear it.

conclusion: This film is one of the most brutal films ever made in Indian cinema. However, it cannot be called “best” on the basis of brutality alone. The story lacks depth, and the characters don’t feel relatable. 3 stars from me. One star will be cut for lack of storyline and the other for weak buildup of characters.

Caution: If you are of weak heart, avoid watching this movie. But if you are a fan of violence and revenge, then definitely watch it.
