Republic Day Speech
Good morning everyone!
My name is Swara. Today, we are gathered here to celebrate the 26th of January, which is Republic Day.
First of all, I wish you all a very Happy Republic Day. Republic Day is an important national festival in India. On this day, 26th January 1950, our country adopted the Constitution of India and became a sovereign republic. The Constitution is the supreme law of our country, and it guides all the laws and regulations in India.
The Constitution of India is the longest written constitution in the world. It provides us with fundamental rights, duties, and directs the government’s responsibilities. Our Constitution guarantees equality, freedom, and justice to all citizens.
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, who is known as the Father of our Constitution, played a vital role in drafting the Constitution of India. His vision for a democratic and inclusive India has shaped the very foundation of our nation.
On Republic Day, we remember the efforts of all the leaders and freedom fighters who fought for India’s independence. It is also a day when we take an oath to respect and follow our Constitution.
This day teaches us the importance of unity and peace in our society. No matter our differences, we all should work together for the betterment of the nation. Let’s pledge to uphold the values of our Constitution and contribute to making our country stronger.
